MRC Twin Cities Training & Education Services
In 2006, MRC redesigned its accredited training courses, which began in 1985, into a tiered learning format, “Tiers to Careers,” which assesses the consumer’s technical and interpersonal skills growth during a step-by-step training process.
MRC curriculum is continuously being revised by MRC staff and members of the business community to ensure that the training courses fit the current needs of the workplace and the current labor market. MRC maintains relationships with 70+ business partners who contribute to MRC’s success by presenting training and work readiness sessions (including mock interviews) and by hiring MRC graduates.
MRC’s Training & Education Services serves over 700 Twin Citians a year. Services are offered in standard classroom settings, individualized settings, or as customized courses to fit the needs of a specific group.

2. Customized Training Courses are designed specifically for a group or population and may vary in length from 20 to 500 hours. Curriculum components for each Customized Training Course are chosen to specifically fit the needs of the group or population being trained and may include technical coursework, interpersonal coursework or both. Customized Training Courses are scheduled as purchased and offered in a structured classroom environment. Class size is between 2 and 22 students and is instructor led.
3. Individualized Training Services are offered one-to-one for students who either prefer individualized training or learn best in a one-to-one environment. Coursework is customized to fit the needs of the learner and is instructor led.
4. Training Seminars are short-term training courses designed to help students develop technical, interpersonal or combined skills on limited training components that range in length from 4 to 16 hours.
